So I've recently been treated to the news that I'll be heading to Paris with Matt for a long weekend in March! We were originally planning on booking it last minute; however my lovely boyfriend went ahead and booked it as a surprise present for Valentines day! How sweet can you get REALLY?!?!?!? He was so excited to tell me he couldn't even hold it in and ended up telling me straight away!
I've been to Paris a few times with my dad on Business but never got to take in the sights or do anything remotely touristy or Parisian! I think when you're older you definitely get the chance to discover a whole lot more and I'm really looking forward to taking in the sights and tasting all the French food, which happens to be my favourite!
Have you been to Paris? I'd love some recommendations on where to go and what to do! If you know secret quaint little markets or cafes please do share!
My plans so far are to visit the Amelie Cafe, the Moulin Rouge and of course the Eiffel Tower! I'm excited beyond belief!

Oh what a lovely suprise!!
ReplyDeleteI know a few vintage shops if you some addresses? They are FULL of goodies!!
I'm on twitter https://twitter.com/KirstiLee24 or you can email me if you would like the names and addresses of the vintage shops :)

yes please!!
DeleteOooh, that's so sweet!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful time. Unfortunatley I don't have many recommendations because the last time I was there was 10 years ago... things are bound to have changed a little ;-)
I can't wait to hear all about it when you get back, might even give me some enthusiasm to go back there myself!
So many cute pics! Have a lovely time!

ReplyDeleteahhh Paris!!! :) the dream place! :)Irene Wibowo
ReplyDeleteThe best thing to do in Paris is wonder around, some many beautiful sites. The Latin district is fun, and a trip on the trams too!
ReplyDeleteEee how exciting :) I went just before Christmas, you will love it! If you want to do some vintage shopping head to Coiffeur!! Everything is like 3-15 euros and they sell just about everything you can think of.
ReplyDeleteYou can see my paris post here if you want :) http://sweetmondayblog.blogspot.co.uk/2012/12/paris.html
I LOVE AUDREY! Now that is off my chest; you should head to the Centré Pompidou. It's gorgeous to visit on its own but all around are wonderful cafés and boutiques. The best cheap pasta dishes in Paris are at la Petit Marcelle (my boyfriend took me on our anniversary) and it's right next to the Pompidou Centre!
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful, beautiful time! And take wonderful photos for us :)
OH, I'm so jealous! I hope you have a lovely time in Paris. Enjoy it for the rest of us. And... Funny Face is my favorite Audrey movie, so I really love this post.
ReplyDeleteI'm just after stumbling upon your lovely blog and was looking back over past posts when I spotted this one. I was in Paris last weekend and went a little crazy researching places so here are a few odds and ends of recommendations. If you're looking for a kitschy unusual restaurant try Derriere – it’s styled around an old apartment with a ping pong table and a smoking room. Andy Wahloo is a cool bar next door. Free’p’star , Fripestar and Come on Eileen are good for cheap vintage clothes. Le Comptoir de Relais is a good restaurant for the classic French dining feel – you have to queue for a table at the weekends which is handy if you don’t want the hassle of making reservations beforehand - plus the food was well priced and gorgeous. Antoine et Lili has lots of lovely homeware/pretty clothes. And the antiques market in Clignancourt is amazing as is the Père-Lachaise Cemetery. Hope you’ve an amazing time :)
